    A PT friend recently got a certificate in dry needling. Seems hocus pocus to me. Have any of you seen anything other than a placebo effect? I’m sure I’ll be seeing plenty of posts about how wonderful it is soon. I’ll try not to argue with them. Haha

    Correct, complete placebo.

    No difference compared to sham needling.

        As a physical therapist that's taken a dry needling course, the evidence and science agrees with Austin Baraki (he may place it in the "Silly Bullshit" category . Those with financial and intellectual incentives will attempt to justify its use through numerous mechanisms and tooth fairy science. Take a look at a few of these:
