  • Covid and endurance

    Hello
Is there a reason to worry about long term or permanent damage to endurance capacity after recovering from covid?

I play underwater hockey and some players report significant low apnea and endurance abillities following covid recovery, even 6 months after they have recovered. Players aged 20yo - 30yo that had it with mild symptoms, nothing crazy.

What do you think about it?

    Thanks

I don't know. Post-viral syndromes are common and can take a while to recover from.

With that said, I do not see the point of spending time worrying about the idea of "permanent damage". Aside from continuing to train and autoregulating based on individual tolerance/symptoms, there is nothing else that could be done for such a thing anyway, should it occur.
