    I saw one at a gym one time and briefly tested it out with dumbbells. Seems like it would benefit wider humans more. It definitely feels a lot stickier than a regular bench; there's no doubt about that. It's prolly a bad ass bench once you get used to it, but the height and wideness throws you off at first. If you get it, and you feel it's too tall then just put plates under your feet.

    I’ve benched on it before. I didn’t like how close it made me to the bar. Like I was getting a free rep on the house just to lift the thing off the rack.

    Has anyone here ever tried bench pressing on a thompson fat pad? If so, how do you feel about it? Does it make a worth change in terms of upper back stability during the lift? Would you recommend it?
