  • Is My Weight Gain About Right?

    Hi Doctors,

    Ive been doing the novice linear progression for the last month and was wondering if my weight gain (and planned weight gain) look about right - In the book Mark suggests that weight gain, just like strength increase, is ideally front loaded and so I have tried to account for this in the initial stages of the program (by gaining a significant amount of weight).

    I started at around 77 kg at 5ft 11 and am thinking I should get to around 92kg (and hopefully grow another inch) by next year - I'm happy to modify these goals if i'm off but felt that it was best to check in before I either gain too much or front load too much.

    also I was wondering if you would recommend weighing twice a day?

    Hey so I think I would probably need to know how old you are, what your waist is around the belly button, and how much weight you've gained so far, but I'm thinking closer to 100-105kg if you're actually still growing in height.

      I'm 16 and my waist is 32 inches and i've gained around 3 kg in the last month
