  • Weight management on LP

Quick question on dietary recommendations at my stage. Brief signalment & history as follows...37 y.o. Male 6'0", 235 lbs (40.5 inches) Have been doing SS LP for last couple of months. As point of reference, was 225 when I started LP.

    Squat 322.5

    Press 147.5

    Deadlift 330

    Bench 217.5

About 5 years ago was weighing around 280, with hypercholesterolemia, hyperuricemia, pre-hypertension. Fortunately was able to get off medications after losing weight/lifestyle change.

Currently doing 235 protein, 135 carb, 75 fat per day. Would prefer to drop down to between 215-220. On 5g creatine on training days. 2500-3000 kcal/day.

My LP is beginning to slow, however it is still progressing (better on lower body than upper body).

Big question...should I start adding in some conditioning work at this point and adjust macros and calorie consumption as I don’t want to get any bigger and would like to get that waist under 40. Should I adjust macros/calories to fit training days vs. rest days, etc.?

    Thanks in advance.

I think you're near the end of LP, so potentially adding in conditioning with a programming change would be my recommendation with a secondary option after a few weeks to adjust macros. I would not do different macros on training days vs. rest days, however.
