Are they bad for health? I'm currently trying to increase my protein intake by adding 4-5 eggs a day. Does the cholesterol content in the yolk matters? Also are eggs a good source of protein?

For many, it doesn't matter. However, a high saturated fat intake in others can cause deleterious changes in their lipid panel. So, it depends.Barbell Medicine "With you from bench to bedside"

No expert here, but yes, eggs are a good source of protein. If you're concerned about saturated fat, you could get cartons of egg whites and mix that with your eggs. I usually have 2 or 3 eggs with the equivalent of 2 or 3 eggs-worth of egg whites. The whites have 0 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein per serving compared to 6 grams in an egg (including yolk). This has made a big difference for me in trying to decrease my total fat intake.Comment
