  • Bread - different from other carbs?

Should we treat bread as different from other carbs? Everyone is all up in arms about gluten and bread being so terrible. But, should I regard decent whole-grain bread as similar to rice or potatoes so far as carbs go?

Fwiw, so far as I know, I am not gluten-sensitive or anything

Why would we treat bread as different than other carbohydrates and, similarly, why would we count rice and potatoes as different?

Thats MY question! I guess you are saying is that rice, potatoes, bread, oats, etc are all starchy carbs and one would treat them the same.
