  • staying active with herniated/bulging disk?

    Hi! I'm 24, female, and a powerlifter. About 2 or 3 months ago, I either herniated or really really squished a disc in my lower back. I now have bulging disc symptoms, got yelled at by my physical therapist for lifting 185 lbs, and am now restricted to lifting less than 75 lbs. So lifting much of anything isn't an option for the foreseeable future. If anyone's been in this situation before or had any advice, how would you suggest I stay active and avoid losing strength? How long might it take to get back to lifting? Basically, what do I do while I'm not allowed to lift?
