Is there any way to treat straight spine syndrome? I have spoken with a few PTs about treatment options and was unable to get a good answer. I was told by all however, that squats, deadlifts, and presses were all dangerous for someone with that condition to perform.

This is not a real condition requiring any sort of special treatment.

I witnessed an orthopedic doctor show the patient imaging of their cervical vertebrae and explain to them that this was their diagnosis; also referred to as cervical kyphosis. The patient had neck stiffness and crepitus with rotation of the head. The patient was then sent to PT with this diagnosis and advised that barbell resistance training would further aggravate the condition.

We would disagree with that assessment.
