  • general shoulder pain

Hey BBM team, im 17 and have been training since i can remember myself. For some years now, i have had this shoulder pain. This shoulder pain, feels like its "internal", the pain is in the inside of the shoulder. It is kind of always there, gets better or worse from time to time. There doesn't seem to be a specific movement that makes the pain go up, it seems like it gets worse from just doing upper body movements. The pain isn't sharp, just an annoying pain. what do you think i should do? also just making sure, iis it still impossible for me to use your online treatment services?(will turn18 in october)
    Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear about your shoulder pain.

Have you reviewed our shoulder series: https://www.barbellmedicine.com/blog...lardyskinesis/

Or our pain in training article: https://www.barbellmedicine.com/blog...ining-what-do/

Unfortunately, we can not consult with you at this time given your age. However, if the issue is concerning, I do recommend finding a trusted local clinician you can consult with.

Thanks for the response! I sure will look at the shoulder series, i have looked at the pain in training article. It does seem that when i did the general strength template the symptoms seemed to stay the same or even improve.
I am thinking that maybe the 3 day hypertrophy template might help "treat" the pain,i think the voulume and intensity might fit my situation, is that a reasonable assumption?

Yeah, I think it's reasonable to find a dosage of activity you find progresses towards your goals with tolerable symptoms (not experiencing regular worrisome thoughts about your symptoms and not feeling unable to do other activities in life you deem important outside of training).
