  • Knee pain and set backs

    Hello all,
I have knee pain on the left side of my right knee accompanied by crepitus during and after I squat. This is not the first time I’ve had this pain, in the past I’ve decreased the weight on the bar to a manageable weight and managed pain with ibuprofen. The problem is it seem like this pain occurs about every 6 months or so and my squat goes back to square 1. I haven’t been able to squat over 245lbs in the ~3 years I’ve been lifting. Today the pain showed up again during what I was considering a lighter 2ct pause squat (185lbs). I’ve also taken up rowing 30 minutes a day with this training block to increase cardio endurance. Any suggestions or thoughts on how to not derail my progress this go around? Also, this is a bit of a long shot without video reference, any idea why this would keep occurring?
    thank you so much,
