  • Chiropractor for uneven legs length

    Hi everyone,
One of my friends went to see a chiropractor these days and he was told that one of his legs was longer than the other. He was told to always use a footbed to balance them to not cause problems. Along with that of course he needs some appointments to solve the it. My question is, is uneven legs length really a problem to avoid by using a footbed and can a chiropractor actually do something for it?

    Not in most cases, no.

An important question here is: why did he see the chiropractor in the first place?

      Thanks for the reply,
I was expecting the question, I'm not 100% sure why he went to see the chiropractor but he often had back pain during high school and for different reasons he had to stop playing sports. So it's probably because of back pain, in fact he was also told that he was "tight" in the upper back and needed some adjustments. I already know the zero correlation between being tight and having pain, so I didn't focus on that point and was more concerned about the footbed and if having one leg longer than the other was a real problem where the chiropractor could actually do something.

There is no problem with having one leg slightly longer than the other. Depending on the source you will hear that between 1/3 and 1/2 of the population has some subtle leg length. Chiropractic adjustments will not "fix" this.
