If I were working my way up and "feeling" for an @6 from scratch (I prefer to have a rough estimate of where it would occur instead) and didn't rest in between warmups I would hit an @6 at a lower weight than I could have due to fatigue. So obviously some rest is required using this method. But how much? I don't want to waste too much time on warmups because I have a feeling the workouts are going to get long once I hit week 2.
No need to rest between your warm up sets, and you should adjust to the volume soon. Your work capacity just needs to go up. :-)

    Rest on the bridge

In The Bridge when an exercise calls for 5@6, 5@7, 5@8 x 3 sets, are you supposed to rest 4 to 5 minutes between the rpe 6, rpe 7 and rpe 8 sets or to you work all the way up to the rpe 8 set without rest?
