  • Power belts for women

This question is primarily for Leah, but I would love anyone else's input, too.

Leah, I see you using a big, wide power belt (4"?), even though your natural waist is surely shorter than, for example, Austin's. Does your belt ride over your floating ribs or hip bones? Does that bother you?

Hi Elephant, my torso is small, yes and I do wear the largest legal belt there is. My belt rides on my hip bones and touches my ribs. I always adjust the belt buckle so it is centered and does not jab me in the ribs as I lift. It took a reasonable about of time to adjust to wearing it and I had plenty of bruises and aches for a bit. A 3 inch, 10mm is more "comfortable", and that's the belt I suggest for more women my size new to lifting.

Thanks so much for your help! That completely answers my question.
I'd bet there are a lot of women on YouTube who would appreciate a video of you breaking that down.

And thanks for the assist, Austin!
