  • Opinions on GZCLP and moving foward

So i have been running the 3 x week GZCLP program and have made some progress, al tough i'm stalling now. I'm getting to the point where my tier 1 lifts are falling from the usual 3*5 to 6*2, which is annoying. My tier 1 lifts look a little like this: Bench 65 kg, Squat 105, Deadlift 130 kg. This is all for 5 sets of 3. What are the general opinions on GZCLP? I like the tier system, makes training more intresting. To keep things fun and social, i also train with a friend who just runs a bro split. So most of the time i do my tier 1 and 2 lifts, and just do his workout with him (bro split, doing 3/4 sets of 7/12 reps a,d 2/4 exercises per muscle group). I have been trying to convince him to join my, but he isn't really a fan of full body compound training.

Should i be looking to switch routines? Or trying to milk the LP further? Thanks guys

We're not especially familiar with this program, unfortunately.

What the hell are you worried about having fun for? If you want to have fun go to Disneyland. When you're in the gym you're there to go to war. Sorry, but you'll have no success with that mindset of "having fun" and being "social".

Come on dude, stick to SS/NLP
GZCLP has far too many moving parts for a rank novice

Training should be fun. I don't care if it's not ''optimal'''. This makes it more social and more enjoyable.

Is this a joke, or are you on the wrong forum?
