This question is aimed mainly at your boy Alex Kovaleski
I use the emerging strategies protocol, so TTP is a big part of that.
The date of my next meet has been moved forward a couple of weeks.
The original plan was to run a developmental block for 5-6 weeks (my usual TTP) and then taper the week of competition (performing meet warm-ups and openers).
Now the time from the start of my developmental block to competition is only going to be 4 weeks.
Should I still taper the week of competition, resulting in only 3 weeks of proper training? Or should I just run the developmental block as is all the way up to competition time? But run the risk of going into a comp more fatigued than I should be (last training day would be on a Friday and comp would be on Sunday).
Thanks
