  • [email protected] dropsets

When dropping 3-5% to maintain RPE 9 ([email protected] across for example), is it typical to have to strip that weight after the first set? If so, is it typical to do another 3-5% after set 2, etc?

    Thanks a mil!

I don't think there is any "typical" answer as you might find this even varies for yourself from week to week. I personally find that one drop is usually sufficient for me, but I also wouldn't stress the occasional additional drop to stay with that RPE.

Thanks, Leah. I do find that it varies from lift to lift and day to day, which is what led me to get a 2nd opinion. Particularly fatiguing are rack pulls @9, but other things like CGB I can typically just take one drop, and even then not until after the 2nd set occasionally. Thanks!
