  • GPP Scheduling Old Templates vs. New

Greetings Docs, I was looking over the new templates and I noticed that the GPP schedule for the three day templates is Lift-Off-Lift-GPP-Lift-GPP-Off. Would you recommend this schedule for the legacy programs as well? I've been running the legacy 3-day hypertrophy as Lift-GPP-Lift-Off-Lift-GPP-Off, but I dig the idea of taking the day after squats off.

Also, is there a large enough difference between the legacy olympic template and the new one to make the new one preferable?

Third question I just thought of: Will you be making a bundle of the new programs similar to the legacy bundle? I saw the back pain bundle, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

The GPP schedule we have listed there is a great one and can be used with either template style. In many cases, that difference is also not going to be THAT marked of a difference, so we don't want anyone to think that this schedule is the way to do it. If you need to alter the schedule, that's also fine.

And yes, there are quite a few updates to the Olympic Template, including the increase from a 4 week to 12 week program, and that involves quite a bit more programming and variation for you to use and learn from.

We might have some bundles. :-). But likely not something for ALL of the new temples in one bundle.

Would be great to have bundles by branches - so a Hypertrophy bundle with Hypertrophy 1 and 2 or Strength bundle.

Very nice, thank you for answering Leah. I was going to do the Bridge 3.0 after hypertrophy to build some strength before running the old Oly template. Do you think I can skip the bridge and just do the new Oly template? Are there good lessons in the Bridge that make it worth spending the 8 weeks on?

Happy to help. I do think that if you haven't done a strength-focused program like the Bridge, it would be pretty helpful. It's a solid strength-focused program that would hopefully build your strength for more specialized training in the Olympic lifts.

Awesome, that gives me a 20 week roadmap to follow when I finish GPP Hypertrophy.

Thanks Leah, I appreciate your advice.
