Upright rows are a fine exercise provided they are implemented and progressed correctly. Furthermore, there are no "good" or "bad" exercises, just appropriate and inappropriate implementation.

Upright Rows - Are they really bad?

    Hello BBM community,

Upright Rows had been unknown to me until I once saw Michael Ray do them on Instagram with a caption along the lines of "shoulder health".

Now I'm looking to add a new shoulder exercise to my routine and Upright Rows came to mind, but I googled it and there seem to be a lot of people in the fitness community who think it's outright bad for the shoulders. For example: https://www.stack.com/a/upright-row

Is it BS or am I really better off with other shoulder exercises?
