  • Splitting workouts throughout the day

Hi there - what are the benefits in getting all your lifts in in one workout?

I have recently started working out in the morning again, but overslept this morning so only got half a session in. I am going to complete my workout this evening after work.

Is it generally more advisable to get all your lifts done in one session, as opposed to splitting over the day (thinking maybe accumulation of fatigue in one sessions leads to more gains, or something like that?)

On the plus side, if I were to continue splitting my workout like this I could get an extra 30ish mins sleep in a morning.

    Thanks

It doesn't really matter either way unless the workload significantly changes with either protocol.
