After finishing the beginner template and moving on to powerbuilding I I'd like to test my 1RMs because that's what I care about. How would I go about doing this?

I don't think that's something we would recommend given the purpose and layout of the Beginner template. That said, I wouldn't really complicate the process of finding a 1RM either. After a warm up, take small 5-15% jumps with 3-5 min rest periods to find your 1RM.Barbell Medicine "With you from bench to bedside"
