  • Bodybuilding Template Questions

    Hi docs,

Just bought the bodybuilding template and just had a few questions:

    1. If I'm on week 4 of block 1 and I stop making progress on two or more slots, should I just move onto block 2?

    2. Let's say I decide to run a strength block after doing block 1. After this strength block I decide to jump back into bodybuilding. Would I do block 2 or start from block 1 again?

    3. I have chosen bent-over rows and pendlay rows as my 2 horizontal pulls. Is it ok to do one of these exercises again for my vertical pulling slot?

    4. Because of large machine weight increments I find it hard to hit the prescribed reps sometimes. Does it really matter if I do 17 reps @ RPE 8 instead of 10 reps @ RPE 8?
Sorry for the abundance of questions but I would really appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

    Insignia,

    1) You can, but if it were me I'd probably wait for 2-3 weeks of no progress in one of the first lifts I was doing in a day.
    2) Either would be fine.
    3) I would recommend a vertical pull like upright row, lat pull downs, chins, etc.
    4) It could. If you can do 17 reps @ 8, you probably have another 10-15% weight in you. That said, 12 vs 10 reps probably doesn't matter because they're pretty close.

Thanks for the response Jordan. Would machine high rows (https://weighttraining.guide/exercis...hine-high-row/) count as a vertical pull?

Not really, as the line of pull is mostly horizontal.
