  • Squats with bands - Strength I template

    I am about to start the Strength I template and I'd like to squat with bands (chains seem too complicated).

    I have a really dumb question....It's really dumb...

    If I want to add 40 lbs of band resistance to my squat - is that two bands (one on each side of the barbell) giving 20 lbs of resistance each or is it two bands giving 40 lbs of resistance each? I think it's the latter, but for some reason I keep confusing myself.

    It depends what bands you're using and how far they are stretched, but if the bands are giving 20lbs of resistance on each side that'd be 40lbs total of resistance.
