I heard on a YouTube vid Ed Coan say to relax the hip flexors while squatting to keep the knees from caving. Would you say that this is a good idea or a bad one? It feels odd to do that I must say.

I don't really know what he meant by that, but some people prefer different cues that aren't to be taken literally. I don't personally use that cue with myself or anyone I coach.Barbell Medicine "With you from bench to bedside"
