I am an avid listener to your podcasts, which I enjoy. There is a small thing that has been bugging me and I finally feel the need to correct. Jordan has attributed the concept of polarized training to Joe Friel when I think he means Stephen Seiler. Joe Friel is most known for bringing the concept of periodization to the masses with his training bibles, and I know he's written articles about polarized training, but Seiler is the one that has brought the concept of polarized training to the masses. No need to post this to the forum, and if you don't think I'm correct, that's fine, too. Still like the info you provide.

Both are likely predated by Canova, Giglotti, and many others with this idea, though I do think with Friel's prominent position and audience, he probably popularized it a bit more.
I would personally attribute Bompa (excellent book Periodization) and Matveyev as the folks who popularized periodization.Barbell Medicine "With you from bench to bedside"
