I think if you've recently started training (within the last 6 months or so), I'd stick to the current plan for now.

After the 1st block, I would be cool with you gradually ratcheting up the conditioning volume- planning a gradual increase to 4x/wk at 45-minutes per bout over 2 months or so from your current level.

I don't think the additional cardio will kill your gainzZz, but adding volume to your training program that's in excess of what you can tolerate may result in a period of stagnation until you adapt to it.

    More cardio doing beginner template?

Hello, I've recently switched from doing a classic LP to the beginner template, and am enjoying it so far. My question here is regarding the cardio; I would like to do more, but I'm not sure if I may end up doing "too much", whatever that might mean. Currently prescribed is 30 minutes of steady state cardio 2x per week, but I would like to perhaps run 4x per week, and for slightly longer, maybe 45 minutes.

My main motivator for training is that it's fun and/or makes me feel great. With that said, I would like to get stronger and eventually get jacked. I don't really have any solid goal for running currently, I'd just like to do a lot more because I enjoy it, so my priority is resistance training. Will the extra cardio kill my gainz? (i.e. is more cardio appropriate given my training goals?)
