How exactly would you adjust the weights for the later sets, since it is impossible to predict beforehand exactly how fatigued you will be and what the RPE will be?
I don't think I would agree that intraworkout feedback can't tell you something about what your next set's weight selection should be. If you notice you're feeling fatigued after a set such that you're not sure you'll be able to complete the next set without overshooting the RPE, I'd reduce the weight and be conservative. There's no benefit to lifting 5 more pounds at a higher RPE.

I would recommend adjusting the weights as needed to match the RPE prescription as best as you can.

    Bodybuilding Template Question

Hi, I'm currently running the bodybuilding template and have a question. The upper day has bench press programmed for 4 sets of 10 at RPE 8, for example. My question is should you try to generally keep the weight the same throughout all four sets? Im having the issue that my RPE starts to creep up towards the last few sets and don't know if I should be decreasing the weight to match the RPE prescription. Thanks!
