  • Dumbbell Bench press programming questions

    I am currently doing the general strength and conditioning program and my main pressing movement is a bench press. But I also like doing the dumbbell bench and was wondering if it is possible to do it at lighter weights during my gpp work days. My gpp work is on completely separate days than my main lifting sessions. Hope this helps thanks.

    I don't think I'd add more bench pressing onto what is already programmed. You could do DB bench as a supplement or an accessory pressing movement (my preference).

        I would guess most people program it as an accessory lift, but I've programmed it for both.
