    Guys,

    I have purchased several templates over the years and have my of my children on the last section of the beginner template. My son wants to play high school football, and we are wondering if anything should be added or removed from the program, and what program would be best for the next phase.

    Thanks for the post and your continued support. That's really helpful!

    I don't think the template should be modified at all for your son or any sport, for that matter. If the beginner template is appropriate for the individual's level of training, I'd keep it the same.

      What would be a good next template to use, and when should one consider going from three day to a four day routine?

        It depends on what he wants to do training-wise and how he responded to the Beginner Templates phases. I don't see any reason he needs to lift 4x/wk ever unless he wants to in the future (years) from now. I suspect he won't need to address this question for some time- perhaps not at all if he's on the football team and subject to their training program (for better or worse).
