  • Adult Baseball player off-season plan

    48yo, 235lbs, 5’11”
I play approximately 3-4 games a week May through early September. My training frequency during the season was off and on and I know my strength numbers have decreased but less than I think I was worried about.
My number one goal for next year is to carry less body weight fat mainly because I have been playing more outfield than catcher which requires much more running.

I’ve purchased various templates over the past 4 years and trying to decide my plan that best suits my goals..

    Priority 1 - weight loss
Priortiy 2 - sprint speed increase
    Priority 3 - strength

    Templates I own:
    Beginner 1.1
    Endurance 2.1
GPP-412? Not sure date I received this
    7week hypertrophy 2.0.1

Thanks, looking forward to a productive off-season.

I think the general S/C I would be a great off season plan to start. Pending how you responded after your first session, I may transition to Strength I or IIor possibly Hypertrophy I or III. I'd start with general S/C I though in this case.

I think you're probably beyond the beginner template and the GPP or Hypertrophy templates are likely not great for strength and sprint speed in this context. Endurance could work if you really wanted to bring up conditioning, but I'd really be favoring the general S/C template in this case to start.
