how long can I stretch a hypertrophy block ?

  • how long can I stretch a hypertrophy block ?

    Currently in the middle of my block periodization program , after I PR I think I’d like to focus a bit more on hypertrophy ( almost summer gotta get more jacked come on) my normal “volume “ block at the beginning of a program is 5 weeks. My question is how long could I stretch that out for without losing strength ? Because after the block I’d like to jump back in to my normal routine.

    Also , if I do stretch it longer , do I just add in more sets and reps ? Since for hypertrophy I probably wouldn’t wanna go above say 70 %?

    I don't know because I don't know your programming or anything about you.

    That said, I think doing it longer than 6-8 weeks is probably a mistake without changing some of the other variables.

      That’s kinda what I assumed also , sidenote when are black shirts gonna be available ? So y’all wearing them in a recent video don’t see them for sale though last time I checked

        YES! I've been looking to buy a shirt for awhile. Only have mediums available on your site

          Yea we just made another order today so hopefully they will be done pretty soon.
