I have been pulling in Metcons for quite a long time now and noticed how thick the sole in those shoes are. I see that the BBM guys recommend the Nike Davinho, however I cant find any online in a 9.5. I have also looked into the Adidas Samba (and will remove the insole) but I am curious if anyone has any experience pulling in these? I know I can get wrestling shoes but I am not a huge fan. I also want something a little more secure than chuck taylors.

I use Vivobarefoot shoes. They are flat shoes (zero drop) with a 3mm sole and allow the toes to spread out. I wear them for GPP as well. Love them (I have three other pairs, one of which is a dressy leather boot and the other is a casual/everyday suede boot). I love being barefoot and these are the closest to being barefoot while wearing shoes. I did the Vibram Five Fingers, but their build quality is a bit meh, especially between the toes, and my wife won't be seen dead with me wearing them. So they are now gone.
