Evening, I have a question. My girlfriend has Chodromalacia Patella... is there any disadvantages with her training? She use/wants to be a gymnast but her knee is making her think otherwise. What do you reckon she should do in this position? Thank you

    Hey Luke,

Can you provide some background regarding your girlfriend's case? How old is she? What led to seek out consult? What narratives has she been provided regarding Chondromalacia Patella?

Michael Ray Mike, he seems to have dropped out of the forum, but I am interested as qwell - is Chondromalacia patellae ever a counter-indication for resistance training (with heavy barbells)? Maybe just after diagnosys of certain stage of the condition?

      Thanks!

Hey alex.starbuck , not to my knowledge. There are not contraindications to exercise when provided the diagnosis of CMP. This diagnosis is also poorly linked to prognosis and symptoms.
