    I know the comp. lifts are straight sets, but I THINK I read somewhere the assistance work (paused squat etc.) are to be done to a peak set and then back off e.g.:

    300 @ 7
    310 @ 8
    320 @ 9 < peak set 310 @ 9 < lower weight but still working to RPE 9
    300 @ 9

    Or would you recommend straight across sets, something more like:
    285 @ 7
    295 @ 8
    305 @ 9 x 3
