Curious if anyone has had pain in the abdomen while deadlifting? Happened halfway through pull could feel and hear a pop. Reproductive pain with palpation in the soft tissue, none on the ribs themselves midclavicular about 5th or 6th rib area left upper quadrant. Couldn’t finish deadlifting even with lighter weights. Couldn’t squat even with the bar afterwards. Was able to bench press at least. Pain still there with motion. This happened 5 years ago exact same spot, went to a Chiropractor and they said I “had a rib out” which I don’t see how that is really possible on the front of my abdomen. Pain resolved within 3-4 weeks last time this happened. I remember purchasing a belt afterwards and using it. This time was also belt less when pain happened. May switch back to using belt even though from what I understand there is no scientific evidence that suggest belts reduce the risk of injury.
