  • Fatigue after 1 @ 8

    Hey,
I am have troubling finding the appropriate weight for my 5 @ 8 after my single @ 8.

I saw one a couple of post that you reduce your single at 8 with 20%.

    does that mean if I do a 108kg 1 @ 8, and my back of set is a 5 @ 8, I should do around 87kg 5 @ 8?

I use this to guide me, sometimes add/reduce weight given how I'm feeling though.

So your [email protected] is 92.2% of your 1RM. Therefore [email protected] would be c.81%, or about 95kg.

Funny enough, i did exactly 95kg but for 4 @ 10. I am guessing either it wasnt a true 1 @ 8 or I am just not use to singles yet and need to go lighter to build up. Prob a combination of those 2

You could start with 70% e1rm for your back-offs after the single at eight. Increase the weight if it feels too light.
