Radiation day 23, just passed halfway

Single Leg Reverse Lunges - 10*5
    Paused Squats - 10*5

Life in the time of Quarantine. It's body weight work for now until...???

    It's no fun training alone

      Glad to hear that!
I'm so used to training on my own that I miss my set-up when I have to use commercial gyms when I travel. On the other hand there's not much camaraderie happening in my garage...hence my posts here!

I'm finding it takes a lot of discipline to get up off the couch....A.LOT.OF.DISCIPLINE.
              Thanks for the kind thoughts!

                Radiation Day 26 SEE BELOW

                Squats - +20lbs 10*10
                Step Ups - +20lbs 10*5
                Curls - +10lbs 40*3

So I scrounged up a couple of casks of Whey Protein and a gallon of water and put them in my racquet bag...voila 20lbs.

And now for the REALLY GOOD NEWS: my normal radiation treatments consist of 4 interminably long passes of the machine as I lay on the table. They have been cut to 2 passes...I cannot begin to express how happy I am, I can do 19 more days of a couple of minutes on the table.

Of course there's probably a fly in the ointment, like me peeing fire in another week, but for now I'm thrilled.

                    Radiation Day 28...17 to go

                    Push Ups:
                    incline 15*3
                    neutral 15*3
                    decline 15*3

                    Planks 45 sec *5

                    2 1/2 mile walk

                    Intestinal issues are KILLING ME...

Motivation is really hard to come by right now. The weather isn't helping things either. Still, we persevere...

                    • Great workout as usual. I'll have to keep this in mind next time I travel for work.

                      17 to go
Some celebrating will be in order 17 days from now...

Radiation Day 31, developing some bleeding...too much diarrhea. It was always a possibility.

                        Anyway, here's some training:

                        Squats 20*5
                        Step Ups 15*5
                        Calf Raises 20*5
                        Planks 45 seconds *5

Love to go for a walk, but intestinal issues scotched that idea.

                        • Your doctors must be impressed by your strength. I don't think they see many patients like you.

Actually, the lead doc is a "go for a walk" kind of guy. They all kinda pass off the strength training aspect of my life as a curiosity. Obviously Austin is not lumped in with that group, but the in town team is fairly oblivious to our kind of training.

I remember the first Urologist that I saw being kind of incredulous when he asked me what I did to stay active. His exact words were: You don't look like a weightlifter. After I corrected his terminology, he came back with: well, you don't look strong. That was back in the spring, prior to Spokane. I fired his ass after the second appointment...

You should have pressed him over your head.

Radiation day 33 of 45, off in the distance I can see the finish line

                                Push Up Circuit:
                                Incline 20*4
                                Neutral 15*4
                                Decline 10*4

And that was plenty on 3 minute rest periods

I'm paying for those calf raises the other day...OWWW
