That doesn't sound very pleasant at all.

I feel like everything is backsliding. These light weight sessions are killing me at the moment. And walking 2-4 miles isn't getting any easier.

Maybe all the accumulated stressors over the past 6 months are catching up with me?!?

Those high-rep sets aren't easy. I've been doing a lot of them on the hypertrophy template that I'm following and am finding them very challenging. And it's probably just a matter of time before your walks start to feel easier.

Boy Tim, I sure hope so.

Anyway, I have no house arrest lifting to log...because I moved into a new apartment over the weekend. I'm finally unpacked and somewhat squared away.
I averaged about 8k steps and 20 floors climbed Saturday and Sunday. Everything hurts, especially my Achilles tendons, and spinal erectors.

Today I walked the neighborhood. I hope to get a lift in tomorrow.

I'm in phase 2 of the beginner prescription and by far the hardest thing for me, in terms of interset recovery as well as realizing my "theoretical" strength, was the 10 rep squat sets.

I was confident I would rapidly progress at them but I didn't really. My pacing got a lot better which made them less aerobically taxing but the weight on the bar wasn't going up after the first two weeks or so.

That's a lot of steps. I think I'd be hurting too. I'm still adjusting to the "dreadmill." Strangely enough my ankles seem to be the weak link!

                            Thanks Tim.

The road to 2021 will be a long one I fear, but that's the path I've accepted.

Not much to report, lot's of walking. I got in about 7 miles today, along with some chin ups/pull ups/dips at a parkour station in the park where I walk. Some enterprising folks tore down the snow fence that blocked it off during the Whu Flu, so I ducked in to get a few mediocre sets in. Of course the 5-0 drove by and gave me the stink eye, but nothing more than that.

I'm still fatiguing extremely quickly these days, so I had the folks who handled my cancer treatments dial up some blood tests to see what's going on: complete blood panel, metabolic panel, and testosterone panel. They should be in by Monday, and I'll have Austin and the team at Roswell evaluate the numbers.

Maybe you have high standards, since you're normally capable of so much more. I don't think there are many people in their 60s going out for 7 mile walks topped off with chins and dips!

I do have unrealistic expectations at times

The results just posted to the hospital website, it will be another day before Austin sees them. There are a couple of outliers on the red blood cell count, and the lymphocytes that could explain things, but I'll say no more until the experts have their way with the numbers.
