At the FoCo, CO conference last weekend, you covered the ACSM recommendations that include two days of resistance training … but I don’t see any of your templates that have less than 3 … supposing someone were to do the 150/300 minute/week additional work, could your templates be used in a two day/week way … or would such long inter-training day lengths decrease efficiency so much that it “wouldn’t be worth it”?

Deertick,

Thanks for the post. The 2018 Physical Guidelines for Americans put the **minimum** recommendations for resistance training at 2x/wk. We’d like to exceed that in an intelligent manner, as there is a dose-dependent response between training volume and both health and performance outcomes.

As far as if it’d be okay for someone to **only** train 2x/wk, sure! We’d prefer them to do more, but that’s fine too.
