Just watching some of your newer you tube videos, and I’ve noticed (or maybe it’s just camera angle), and/or wondering:
-is your platform still 8’ x 6’?
-looks like your rack is centered on the platform (was more towards the back previously?)
- the middle is now indoor/outdoor carpet?
just wondering are you happy, with 6 x 8? Any reason you centered the rack (if you did)
- why the indoor carpet? Why not stall mat for the whole surface, or just leave it wood?
just placed my stall mat order. I can get by with 2 mats, and 3 sheets of ply for a 6 x 8 platform. 8 x8 would mean another mat and another sheet of ply.
most people build an 8 x 8, but they are not as strong as you, nor are they as good lookin”

Yes.

I have more than one rack. One is further towards the back, another is more to the middle.
the middle is now indoor/outdoor carpet?
Just regular carpet.

Yes, I like 6’x8’. I prefer the rack further towards the back.

Because powerlifting competitions are done on carpet. If not for that, I would have left it wood.

Thanks for, the, quick response. Do you press inside your rack (is it high enough?)
if you press outside the rack, does your 6 x 8 platform allow you to do so? (Looks like not enough room if your rack,is in the middle of the 6’ platform?)
I can press inside my rack, but this is going to vary based on the lifter’s height and arm length.
I have also pressed outside the rack, including on the platform with the rack in the middle.
