Hi BBM,

Am no medical expert; but came across the above captioned article on BCAA’s. Link - ([//jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12970-017-0184-9](https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12970-017-0184-9)).
Based on the claims in this article, is it fair to assume that BCAA’s by itself, can impact MPS negatively.?

Thanks in advance.
Bishan

No, not at all. The editorial (not a study) tries to infer that may be the case, but does have evidence to support that claim. In contrast, there are a number of papers showing BCAAs in isolation can drive MPS. Nevertheless, I do not think BCAAs are useful to supplement in isolation when someone is eating enough protein.
