After my press variation and bench days , I follow up with 3 sets of dumbbell presses and flys. For my db presses I’ve been stuck at 75s for a year or maybe even more just because of the amount of stress and fatigue I already have in the session before getting to them.
Since the shutdown I’ve been forced to use loadable dumbbells , I only have enough weight to load one of them up with 70 pounds or so and so I’ve been doing the presses single armed. This past week I finally got back to my gym and after pressing and benching I figured what the hell and tried the 80s, felt great. Still had a rep or 2 in the tank after each set.
so my question is do you think that the single arm work somehow helped ? And could this be something to use in the future to break some accessory work plateaus ?
