Breaking up Cardio Sessions

I have a problem with boredom when getting my cardio in, especially in the winter when I’m inside.

I train 3 days a week and “try” to get in 2-3 days of Exercyle, or treadmill work. In order to make these cardio sessions palatable, I break the sessions up ex: 15 minutes on the treadmill 4mph, 5 degrees incline (gets the heart rate up to about 120bpm); do a few machine exercises which take 10-15 minutes; back to the treadmill for another round of 15 minutes at 4mph, 5 degrees of incline.

Does it matter that I’m breaking things up in such a fashion, or do I need to plod along for a full 30 minutes with no breaks in order to reap maximum benefits?

High intensity stuff is not on my plate at the moment due to health issues.

Totally fine to do it as you are, C

Thanks for the corroboration Austin
