Cold showers

I see people talking about cold showers as if they are absolutely amazing and swear by them, however i am pretty skeptical and want to know if it is even worth the commitment.

what are your guys’s thoughts on cold showers and their benefits?
Have there been many/any studies on this topic?

i am specifically interested in the training side of things however i would be interested if there are other benefits.

I do not think there are any reliable health or performance benefits to a cold shower.
