If you took 2 clones of the same person , one person eating every 3 hours and the other eating randomly through the day just whenever they were hungry or felt like snacking , and they both ate the exact same foods same calories etc with the same training , would you expect the one eating every 3 hours to have larger muscles / be stronger ?
No, not necessarily. There are less than a handful of papers suggesting eating at the same time regularly can have beneficial effects with respect to body composition, but none as it pertains to strength performance.
I really, really, really wouldn’t worry about meal timing outside of whatever you prefer for your own pre workout meal timing.

Ok thanks for the info doc. I’ve found myself trying to be very rigid about eating every 3 hours and it’s extremely hard to do with my schedule
