Foot Zaps

What’s up Docs?

I’ve been training for about 8 years now, been using BBM templates, group programming and 1 on 1 coaching for the last 4 years, all with great progress. Around the end of December, I started getting these weird left foot shocks or zaps. There was no incident that started them. I have no back pain either. Sometimes they’re barely noticeable, other times they’re pretty painful. Not really worried about them, I haven’t had to modify training. They’re not consistent and I haven’t noticed any particular exercise that starts them. They come and go pretty randomly. They also only happen when my weight is on my heal. There is a bit of calf “tightness” on that same side. Not sure what to make of it.
