General strength and conditioning template without day 2

Hello.

My wife just took up Aikido after a couple of years. She needs to lose a lot of weight and gain some strength back. Unfortunately, she can only afford two days of strength training due to her job.

Since she goes to Aikido on Friday, I was wondering if doing just DAY 1 et DAY 3 would be enough—DAY 3 being actually on Wednesday—knowing that she just wants to have a good overall GPP and never going to compete in a strength or endurance sport anyway?

That would be a great place to start, sure. While we’d love to have everyone exceeding the activity guideline recommendations for both RT and AT, continued participation in both are likely to be key to improving/maintaining health.

I will sure have her add a third day of RT as soon as, hopefully, she has more time to train.
