If someone goes through multiple cycles of bulking and cutting, but does no resistance training, will they eventually get jacked? Maybe a little?
What does “jacked” mean? And how much muscle are they carrying already? Gaining weight without resistance training seems like a recipe for getting fat ya know?
For this hypothetical, jacked means larger-than-normal muscles and let’s assume they are starting with an average amount of muscle mass. I’ve heard it said many times that if one is in a caloric surplus (sitting on the couch eating potato chips), at least some of their newly-added tissue will be muscle. It seems possible then that if one gets their nutrition on point, they can grow muscle and fat (and whatever else), then cut in a manner designed to spare as much muscle as possible and wind up with a net increase in muscle? And I agree of course that this is not a practical approach - just wondering if it’s possible. Also, thanks for hosting this forum
Some of it will be muscle, unless they’re already obese. However, when you cut you always lose muscle too, so…probably not a terribly useful thought experiment you know?
Dang it I came here thinking BBM had released a new program
