Getting grey hair early on in life...

Hey,

This is not training related, but I hope it’s ok to post this anyway.

So when I was 22 or 23, I noticed I had one grey hair. When I was 25, I had a couple. Today, I’m 28 and I have about 20-30 completely white hairs scattered around my head. It has really exploded in the last year.

My friends have commented on this, and I feel ashamed going grey this early on. My dad started going grey when he was 35, which seems much more normal.

When I was 22ish, I had horrible diet and didn’t exercise at all. But in the last years I’ve been exercising moderately and been eating a much better diet with a lot of protein and veggies.

I’ve been stressed and depressed for most of my adult life, could this be the reason for this?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear this is causing distress.

It’s hard to provide a specific reason for this outside of normal age-related changes in most cases, and that age of onset obviously varies between individuals.
