This may be beyond the scope of this forum but I was wondering what limitations you’d put on training for someone with a hiatal hernia. If it’s helpful , mine is 3cm , and I’ve also been diagnosed with intestinal displasia, gastritis, and esophagitis

How are you being treated?

Are you undergoing surveillance endoscopies?

As long as it’s being treated and monitored, I probably wouldn’t change much about training if I wasn’t experiencing substantial symptom exacerbations. The thing is, everything is a trade-off. There’s a cost / benefit consideration here: is it possible that continued training somehow exacerbates the hiatal hernia? Possibly. However, there are also risks associated with _not_ training that I think tilt this decision in favor of training, at least for me.

I had a follow up with GI and asked him. If anything , he seemed even less concerned than you about the risks of exercise . Thought you might want to know. Thanks agai .
